The Transition: Transitional pieces in our wardrobes are always a must! When we know we have to do something in the evening and we either have nowhere to keep another dress or we quite simply don’t want to change, having a piece that will suit both your activities during the day and night can be pretty perfect. In order to make it work at both times, it’s all about the little things...

Outfit 1: Versus Dress + Sara Berman Bag

I’d focus on the hair; In the day you want your hair looking tousled, and natural, once it’s evening time make it sleek and pushed back completely off your face – It can be either up or down. The dress is bright and striking and so I made sure the chosen clutch would be the complete opposite but it still has it’s own character due to it’s texture.

Outfit 2: Missoni dress + Wilbur and Gussie Clutch

DAY – Wear a few wooden & slightly embellished bangles
NIGHT – A great big piece of costume jewellery round the neck! As soon as I saw this clutch I thought it would be perfect! It’s not the obvious choice, but the purple just seems so great with this classic missoni print!

Outfit 3: Stella McCartney dress + Wilbur and Gussie clutch

During the day you may want to wear a higher denier tight, but change into a very sheer, 10-20 denier, at night and add a pair of great black stiletto’s. When picking an accessory, it took me a while to pick one, but in the end this creamy caramel clutch does a great job!

Outfit 4: Twenty8Twelve Dress + Angel Jackson Bag

I would not really change too much, perhaps you could make your make=up darker and bolder. A strong purple lipstick would look amazing! Being that this outfit is already pretty strong, by adding the studded Angel Jackson, it makes it that much more edgier and cool.

Outfit 5: Beyond Vintage Dress + Halston Clutch

DAY - Wear some nice simple metallic ballerina flats.
NIGHT - Change into either black Chrystal embellished peep-toes or a purple suede court shoe. Besides the fact that this is one of nicest envelope clutches I’ve ever seen, to have the extra pop of yellow present, it will make this outfit, not so ordinary.
